Conscious Consumption and Moving Towards a Zero-Waste Lifestyle [tucson]

  • Food Conspiracy Co-op 412 North 4th Avenue Tucson United States (map)

What is “zero-waste”? Is reaching zero-waste really possible? What are some practical steps one can take to reduce their waste at home, at the grocery store, and on-the-go?In this workshop, Claire Kaufman, a Tucson-based environmental professional committed to reducing her waste and carbon footprint, will facilitate a discussion answering these questions and more.

Claire will explore what “going zero-waste” really means, give tips that she’s learned from her own path towards zero-waste over the last 3 years, as well as help troubleshoot all your zero-waste questions around grocery shopping, eating out, recycling/composting, toiletries, and more. She will also lead a zero-waste “tour” of the Food Conspiracy Co-op, sharing tips & tricks to help each and every workshop attendee become more conscious in their consumption and reduce their trash footprint.

Workshop will start in the Hoff Building with a tour to follow through the Co-op.
