Did you Marie Kondo your closet and wonder how you had so many clothes to begin with?
Want to know more about where your clothes came from & where they go after you throw them out?
Interested in how our clothing choices impact our lives, the lives of our fellow humans & the environment?

Get ready, because I have a lot packed into this workshop :)

It will start with a group discussion about:
- Where our clothes come from, the problems with fast fashion, and the people behind the brands
- What our clothes are made out of and how that affects our health and the health of our planet
- What happens to our clothes after we throw them away, and how we can reduce that waste

We'll do a fun activity to assess the footprint of our own clothing. Then, I'll lead everyone through a craft where we’ll make a plant holder out of an old t shirt. And last but not least… we’ll hold a clothing swap!! I. AM. SO. EXCITED.

This workshop will be two hours and $20. You can pay with Venmo (@Claire-Kaufman), PayPal (paypal.me/clairekaufman), or cash. If you need an alternate paying option let me know and we can figure something out. Please RSVP by sending me a message to confirm, or paying before the event. See you soon zero wasters!

Zero Waste 101 [Tucson]

What is zero waste, exactly?
Is it possible to reduce my trash if I want to still live like a normal human being?
What are some steps I can take today to reduce my waste?
How can I make 2019 a year where I live in harmony with the planet?

If one or all of these questions have been in your mind, this event is for you!

We will discuss the most important steps you can take towards zero waste, tips & tricks for zero waste living in Tucson, and troubleshoot all your zero waste questions. I am especially excited to hold this event right after the new year because my own zero waste journey started with my NYE resolution in 2016. Three years later, I am so excited to create a space to help others embark on their zero waste journey.

This event is a $5 donation. It's open to anyone and everyone regardless of where you are on your zero waste journey. I can't wait to see you there! Let's make 2019 a year to remember :)
